Story behind this set: This set was made on our Tenerife trip and actually we were looking for a black sand beach. Although the island is not that big, it is big enough to have it’s own micro climates. We stayed in the north of the island and were unlucky with the weather, our side and the biggest part of the coast line were covered with clouds and rain nearly every day. The part where we stayed in the mountains, was called ‘Little London’ by the locals as it was know for cloudy and rainy weather. To be honest we didn’t expect this at all when we planned to go there. Except for a few days, we had to drive to the south of the island to get some sun. We passed some nice black beaches which would be great for shooting but unfortunately they were too busy for our kind of photoshoots. We found a big natural reserve which was much calmer and we hoped to find a nice hidden black beach there so we decided to first walk through the area to find a black sand beach so we didn’t have to carry all equipment all the time. In the end we didn’t find what we were looking for but we did find some other nice suitable spots. This is one of them, in the middle of the black rocks was this small spot covered with “gold” looking sand. The color of the sand created a beautiful contrast with the dark rocks. According to David it would fit perfect with my skin tones and sexy “tiger” pattern bathing suit. The place was separated from the sea by a small naturally formed volcanic stone wall. The way the rocks were formed around the sand, covered us from the wind and most of the passers by. Next day we returned with all our equipment and made this set. Enjoy! X Melisa
