I tried to make a short video of our quick, spontaneous trip. I did not want to make it too long not to bore you, but also not too short so you can feel the atmosphere. Our trip there went not so smooth. After many hours of delay and lots of walking from gate to gate because of the changes they made, we were finally going to the plane. After about 2 more hours waiting in the plane, we were told to get off again due to our flight being cancelled. Back in the departure hall, we were send from one information point to another, getting different information every time. Than we were told to pick up our luggage. After about 3 hours of waiting for our luggage, we had to leave as the luggage area was being “evacuated” due to a suspicious suitcase. Meanwhile we went to the ticketing office in hope to get more information for our next possible flight. There we were told we should not pick up the luggage (it had nothing to do with the security evacuation because she didn’t even know about that situation) and in the end we were refused help by one of the AF staff. David had enough of being told something different all the time so he asked the woman if she was sure because non of their information is consistent, each other person gave us a totally different version. He asked how they want to manage a hectic situation successfully if each one of them gives inconsistent, total opposite information to passengers, creating even more confusion and irritation. Seems that she couldn’t handle the truth and refused to help further. So, up to the next AF employee until we at least got confirmation on paper about our next flight. Well, it was very long and tiring day on the airport. We arrived at the airport at 7 am and got to hotel at 10 pm. We were frozen, hungry and so tired ? Anyway, the next day it started again, getting there even before 7 am, going through all the queues, arriving to the gate to hear that our flight was delayed again …. we all felt so hopeless. After I think 4 hours of delay, we got to the plane and this time, we really took off. We lost one and half day of the time in the Caribbean, but it was still worth it. The last photo of the video does not match the timeline, but it fitted the end of the video ? Also, big thank you goes to Mike for the white swimsuit I got from him and Alex. The swimsuit are awesome, thank you sooo much ? Enjoy some warm moment…..
